Hazel: I know (mumbled)

Lezah: The PERFECT CHANCE

Hazel: I KNOW OKAY! (Hazel slams her hands down on the sink) I GET IT!

(Pause)

Lezah: He was with other people.

Hazel: I couldn't go through with it

Lezah: All you had to do was pour it in his drink

Hazel: I couldn’t.

Lezah: We had the perfect alibi Hazel. Don't tell me it was impossible

Hazel: I didn't say it was impossible.

Lezah: You sai—

Hazel: I said I couldn't go through with it

Lezah: And why couldn't you?

Hazel: BECAUSE I LOVE HIM

(Lezah is silent)

Hazel: I'm in love with him

(Lezah bursts out laughing)

Hazel: WHY IS THAT SO FUNNY?

(Lezah slaps the sink as she laughs harder)

Hazel: WHY ARE MY FEELINGS A JOKE?

(Tears stream down Lezah's face as she laughs and she leans on the sink for support. Laughter subsiding)

Hazel: Screw you Lezah.

(Lezah snorts into another fit of laughter)

Hazel: You're just a reflection. You're nothing. You don't matter

(Lezaeh's laughter begins to subside)

Hazel: I'm gonna go out there and tell him how I feel

Lezah: He'll laugh you right back into depression

Hazel: I guess we'll see

Lezah: If you do that it'll only be a matter of time before he figures out what we've done

Hazel: We've covered our tracks. There's no reason he'd suspect us.

Lezah: He already suspects us Hazel. That's the whole reason we're doing all of this.

Hazel: He may or may not suspect us. We were doing this just in case.

Lezah: He’s gonna find out what you did and when he does he’ll be disgusted.

Hazel: He would never do that to me.

Lezah: I can't let you do this.

Hazel: You can't let me?

(Hazel snorts)

Hazel: And what exactly can you do to stop me?

Lezah: You need to listen to me

Hazel: You’re a reflection. You don’t matter.

Lezah: I'm sorry Hazel

Hazel: Sorry for wha-

(Hazel drops to the floor. Lights go black)

Lezah: Hazel. Hazel. Get up

(Hazel rouses at her voice. Sitting up)

Hazel: What happened?

Lezah: Get up

Hazel: My head hurts

Lezah: I never wanted to do this. I'm sorry.

Hazel: Never wanted to do what?

Lezah: You've left me no choice

Hazel: What are you talking about. (Hazel stands from the floor) Whatever. It doesn’t matter. I should get back. Wait. Why is the door on that side?

Lezah: Hazel

Hazel: Why is- EVERYTHING'S BACKWARDS. WHY IS EVERYTHIN-

(Hazel turns abruptly.)

Lezah: Are you starting to get it?

Hazel: Why am I in here? How can you be ou- Why- How-

(Pause)

Hazel: It was you. All that lost time.

Lezah: You could’ve been blissfully ignorant

Hazel: Waking up in the forest. In the middle of the night covered in blood (pause) You let me think I was crazy.

Lezah: I’ve worked too long and too hard. I can't let you ruin everything

Hazel: What are you gonna do?

Lezah: I'm gonna finished what we started

Hazel: You BITCH!

(Lezah smiles)

Lezah: Hush. Now be a good little reflection

(Hazel walks to the sink. Mirroring Lezah as she pulls a tube of lipstick out of her bag. Applying it, and fluffing up her hair.)

Hazel: How is this possible? How can you make me copy yo-

Lezah: I said HUSH

(Hazel's mouth snaps shut. She mirrors Lezah's movement exactly. Lezah gives herself a long look. Adjusting her breasts in the little black dress before walking towards the door. She looks back in the mirror. Hazel mirrored her movements in every way except for the tear trailing down her cheek.)

Hazel: Please (mouthed)

(Lezah smiles at her reflection before opening the door. Club music blares into the room as she walks out. Lights fade to black)
